My dead friend Zoe is a dark comedy drama that follows the journey of earnings (Sonnequa Martin-Green), an Afghan veteran of the US Army, who thanks to the presence of Zoe (Natalie Morales), her dead best friend of Die Army. Despite the persistence of her VA group advisor (Morgan Freeman), her mother’s hard love (Gloria Reuben) and the lightness of an unexpected love interest, Merit’s isolated cozy, dysfunctional friendship with Zoe. Until Merit’s estranged grandfather (Ed Harris) – who agreed in the family of the family of the family’s family – begins to lose his way and needs the only thing he refuses … Help. In essence, this is a buddy film about a complicated friendship, a shared family and the complex opportunities that we process grief.
